mmm, protein

Protein Feed is an online resource for design, art, technology and culture, among other things. The different sections of the blog site are color-coded for easy identification. This is a text-heavy site, as it is news and events, but I think the color coding makes the information easily accessible.

what's up next?

This Next is a site to recommend, share and discover great products, ranging from electronics to cosmetics to travel, and everything in between. The target audience would be those looking to find the newest/greatest/unique products available, found or used by people around the world. Not only can the user check out the products, but also view profiles of the people referring the products. The overall design and layout is easy to follow. Color choices makes it easy to identify different sections of the site. There is so much to the site, the copy is kept to a minimal blurb.

awareness

www.patrickobrienfoundation.org
This is site dedicated to informing others about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease, thru the eyes of Patrick O'Brien, who suffers from ALS . Immediately the video, which is touchingly done, grabs my attention. The overall site is quite minimal and very easy to follow and to read. There's not too much text, just what I really need to read about the topic. After going to this site, I feel like I should donate to this cause. The videos hit my heart-strings.

here's my blog

This blog will be primarily used for my Writing for the Web course at Portfolio Center. I've never wanted a blog cuz I really don't have anything worth writing about. Who knows...maybe that'll change, hopefully.
